Japan Crate November review!

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to share with you Japan Crate's November crate!I was super excited to hear that this one would be coming with a Funassyi snack :D

Every japan Crate arrived within three days of shipment, which is great because you will always know when it will arrive~

This month, they included TONS of brightly-colored and fun looking stuff! So...let's dig in!

The fisrt item I pulled out was this month's bonus item: a blind box Naruto figure! I don't know this character's name but let's just call her "creepy purple eyes"

Next, we have the "Fluffy Long Neck Marshmallow," aka, a long marshmallow twist with a very long name. The colors on this marshmallow twist were very cute and pastel, and it was very delicious~

The next candy I received was cookies and cream Peejoy! These seem to be a popular candy with subcscription boxes, along with Pocky and Pretz. The cookie outer layer is chocolate, and inside is a very smooth cream filling =w= they sort of remind me of those cream-filled cereal straws from a while back

either way, these are probably my favorite Peejoy snack

The next snack I got was Hot Chili Salad Pretz! As I said, you are almost 100% guaranteed to receive a box of either Peejoy, Pocky, or Pretz, and this month I received both Peejoy and Pretz. By no means am I complaining, because Hot Chili Salad Pretz is a gift sent from the spicy and flavor gods.  It has a great balance of flavor, kick, and seasonings

The next snack I received were the Purple Sweet Potato Sticks. I'm not going to lie,  these weren't my favorite due to their smell and odd flavor. They had a slightly fruity taste mixed with the sweet potato which just wasn't my thing

The next candy I got were three Black Thunder chocolate bars! They are kind of like extreme Rice Krispy treats, with chocolate and cookie bits. I really liked these, they had a good texture and felt like an entire meal on it's own! And, unlike Rice Krispy treats, these were very heavy and filling

The next candy I received was the "Superstring Q," which could also double as the name of an erotic panty brand. This was like a very long ans thin gummy worm, and tasted about the same. It was very fun to eat ~

The next item I received was Glico Man Caramel & Toy, which contained two little boxes: one with a toy, one with candy!

The toy was a little wooden rocket, which came in three pieces, accompanied by chewy, heart-shaped caramels. I'm not sure if the rocket was supposed to be a sort of puzzle or not, but it was cute either way, plus the caramels were extremely good

 The next candy I got was Pachishuwa Grape soda Mix, which I decided to rename as "sugar Crack" since it looks like a funky new drug that all the kawaii-desu kids are doing. This candy was described as "exactly what grape soda would be like if you could eat it instead of drink it," although I think Welch's fruit snacks already claimed that market. It tasted like a mix of jelly beans, pop rocks, and dried sour-patch kid flakes, which made for a very sour and grape taste. It wasn't bad, it just looked and felt a bit odd. (come to think of it, it could also be called "grape amoebas")

The next snack I got was Uranai-kko Bubble gum! This gum came with a little kawaii rabbit on the package, and each stick of gum came with a fortune written on it, which I could not read. These gum sticks also reminded me of Undertaker's sotoba

The next candy I received were Meiji Diced Caramels! 

 (the boxes were super cute omg)

Each box contained one individually wrapped caramel. I really enjoyed these candies, even though you had to go through a bunch of layers to get to them xD Caramel was another big theme this month

The next item I received was another gum, called SPY vs SPY Sour Gum. This gum was indeed sour, so sour that I actually couldn't chew if for more than 10 seconds before spitting it out >3> Maybe I'm just weak, but this gum was VERY cour, inn a strong chemical way. I probably won't be saving the rest of it

Now....begins the true fun...

 I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Funassyi candy was, in fact, a DIY kit! 

The DIY kit came with a plastic Funassyi cup and straw, and a baggy of pear mix. 

The DIY kit also required milk and ice. Here were the instructions for making the drink:

1. Fill cup to line with milk

2. Add an ice cube and the powder

3. Put on lid

4. shake well until powder is dissolved

And the final result...

A pear-flavored Funassyi slushy! This little drink legitimately tasted like pear, and was actully pretty refreshing! I was very happy with this DIY kit

~Thoughts~

Overall, this crate probably had the most activity-based snacks out of all their other crates! There were lots of fun snacks that you could sort of "play" with, like the long gummy string, the little boxed caramels, the rocket toy, and of course, the DIY kit. I seriously enjoyed this month's Japan Crate, and hope they keep up with the super-fun snacks! As I have said in my past reviews, I will always recommend Japan Crate for a large variety of fun and unique snacks <3

Squishies from TaoBao! haul/review

Hey everybody! Today I'm going to share with you some squishies I bought from TaoBao!

***DISCLAIMER: now as many of you know, TaoBao doesn't exacly have a sparkling clean reputation. The internet is full of TaoBao horror stories of never receiving items, receiving fake or broken things, and even merchants cleaning out customer's bank accounts. That, my friends, is why you must always use a shopping agent (I rely on TaoBao Focus for my TaoBao shopping) I tend to shop on TaoBao quite often and have experienced the good and bad, but I have mostly been satisfied. I also realize and accept that almost nothing I buy from TaoBao is going to be in "perfect" condition.

Anyways, I decided to hunt down some squishies for my TaoBao haul. Here were the squishies that I decided to buy (photos from the individual shops):

I-bloom replica cake squishy (choco)

 Taiyaki mini fish squishy/dust plug (pink)

 Festival grilled squid on a stick squishy (plain)

Festival hot dog on a stick squishy (plain)

Mushroom Dog squishy (random)

Funassyi squishy

Since all of these were super cheap, I decided to get a lot

Because I purchased my items using a shopping service, I had to wait for the items to arrive at the warehouse, then have the warehouse ship the items to me. This means that shipping does take kind of a while. (I think in total it took about two weeks from the time I placed my order to the time it arrived, which wasn't too bad in my opinion)

Slow down TaoBao Focus, you don't need to go into THAT much detail

(I'm not sure how Taobao Focus does it, but they always manage to cram your entire order into a teeny box, with nothing damaged or bent.This is what it looked like when I tried to stuff everything back in the box)

Here are all the items I ordered! Plus...a second grilled squid squishy?? (O_O；) I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not, but it was a happy surprise~! Each squishy was individually wrapped and had their original tags (if they were sold with tags)

Mini Taiyaki squishy ($1.27 USD)

 IT'S SO CUTE. AND SMALL. AND PINK (●´□`)♡ I am in love. This squishy was very small, but I believe it was the real deal because it had the same tags and sticker that my legit mini taiyaki's had. It was very squishy and soft, and had a slightly sticky texture

Festival grilled squid squishies ($5.96 USD for both)

 The next squishies I received were the two girlled squid festival squishies. The shading on these were AMAZING, very realistic and detailed. Plus, they came with cute pink keychains （●´∀｀）♡

Again, I think these are also the real festival food squishies because they came with the same tags as I have seen the other ones come with. They were very smooth and squishy (even the stick was squishy!) I really liked these ones as well!

Festival Hot dog on a stick squishy ($2.98 USD)

 (I can't decide which look more delicious, the hot dog or the squid!)

The second squishy I got was this festival foods hot dog squishy. This one came with it's original tags as well, and was very realistic and nicely shaded. And, just like the squids, it was very soft and squishy and came with a pink keychain~

Funassyi squishy ($1.24 USD)

 The next squishy I had received was this cute Funassyi squishy!

To be honest I'm not sure if this one is the real Funassyi squishy or not. It came with an authentic looking tag, but there were some defects (maybe it was real but just a defected one) The defects included some paint thinning and a slightly ripped arm

On the bright side, this squishy was very soft and squishy, and had bright happy colors. Also, the little leaf on it's head wasn't squishy, but regular plastic. Even with the defects, I still thought it was cute

Mushroom dog squishy ($0.92 USD)

 

 The next squishy I bought was this cute little pink and white "mushroom dog." It doesn't look like a muschroom or a dog in my opinion, but it's still very cute xD

This squishy was a random select, meaning that I received one of six possible poses/expressions (I got the little angry face >:3) This little dude was very small, and soft, but not very slow rising. (Also I think I see a little mushroom on his ear. I now see why they call it "mushroom" dog)

I-bloom replica chocolate cake ($1.23 USD)

And last (and sort of least) was the I-bloom cake replica squishy. I had originally ordered the white cake, but they were sold out, so I chose the chocolate one instead.

This squishy was larger than I expected, and very detailed. It had minor surface defects like small spots. Sadly though, this squishy was not at ALL squishy. It was made of a hard foam, similar to the kind you would find in athletic shoes. It was impossible to even squish it a little bit(︶︹︺) which is sad because it is very pretty. 

On the other hand, it is more sturdy than a squishy, so maybe I can attach it to my bag or something without the risk of having it tear or get easily damaged. Even though it isn't squishy, I don't regret buying it because it is still very cute to look at

I would give the overall quality of all these squishies a three out of five stars. The festival squishies and mini taiyaki were in perfect condition, but the others weren't, especially the Funassyi (had many defects) and cake (which wasn't squishy). 

shipping:♥♥♥♥

The shipping has to do with TaoBao Focus, not really the squishies. I would give the shipping four stars because everything was shipped quicky and packaged carefully with no space in the box unused. Shipping came to about $26. TaoBao Focus is kind of expensive when it comes to shipping, but I understand that I am paying for shipping two separate times

cost:♥♥♥♥1/2

I paid a total of $27.39 for the items plus commission fees, and $26.24 for the total shipping, which came to $53.63. That averages out to about $7.50 per squishy. It seems expensive when fully added up, but the squishies themselves were very cheap (again, most of the cost was commission/shipping, which doesn't have to do with the actual squishies). Even though two were defected, I wasn't unhappy with what I paid for them. I have also seen the festival squishies selling for as high as $10

overall:♥♥♥1/2

Overall,  I would give the overall Taobao squishy shopping experience three and a half stars. Even though I was satisfied with the majority of my order,I know many people wouldn't be because of the two defected ones and the "bootleg" mushroom dog. Of course, I also wish that Funassyi and the cake were in better condition. I would recommend buying squishies from Taobao if you are looking for very cheap squishies, and willing to take the risk of having them be replicas or defected. Because TaoBao is usually where replica items are sold, I was surprised that I got four legitimate squishies in perfect condition . Again, I was more or less satisfied with my order, but I would probably avoide purchasing squishies from TaoBao in the future unless they were from sellers I trust.

Kawaii Land squishies! Review

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to share with you a small but adorable squishy package I bought from Kawaii-Land! 

Kawaii-Land is an online shop that sells mainly squishies, as well as other kawaii things such as cell phone accessories, stationery, and Popin' Cookin cadies ( ˊᵕˋ )♡

I thought these three were the most adorable toys in Kawaii-Land>w>

Because this order was actually one of my birthday presents, I am not sure of the exact day it arrived. Although, I do know that it arrived within about one week!

Inside the package were the three items I ordered plus my order confirmation note. Everything looks so cute(●♡∀♡)!! Each squishy came individually wrapped and had their original tags~

Funassyi squeeze toy ($10.50 USD)

The first item I received was this Funassyi squeeze toy! This is also my first squeeze toy ever -SENTIMENTAL SQUEEZE TOY MOMENT-

 The squeeze toy was very soft and rubber-y, and almost sticky! It was apple-shaped (even though Funassyi is a pear) and had a little 2-way strap/pluggy.

Time to squeeze the Funassyi apple~!

Since this is my first squeeze toy, I am not sure if they are all like this, but when I squeezed it, Funassyi-apple seemed to give birth to a small bean of itself in a watery liquid sack. Not scary at all.  

Overall, the squeeze toy seemed to be good quality, very soft and squeezable, and the little Funassyi bean was actually kind of cute. Also, I got this little guy on a major discount (five dollars off!) 

I think I'll attach it to my phone and ask innocent souls to give it a squeeze and see their reactions (≧∇≦ )

Pinyattsu squishy ($10.00 USD)

 The next, and less firghtening squishy I received was this adorable peanut-cat names Pinyattsu!

I think this one might be the most adorable of the three, and it has a cute little " :3 " face! This cat was very soft and squishy, and had a slight shine to it. Come to think of it, Pinyattsu might just be my new favorite squishy *0* !

Hello Kitty Shortcake squishy ($8.50 USD)

The last item I received was this Hello Kitty vanilla shortcake squishy! This was by far the most realistic of the two squishies, it looks like it's really covered in icing!

 My favorite thing about this squishy is that it has two little cat-shaped strawberries on either side >u> Even the strawberries look realistic! I'm not usually a big Hello Kitty fan when it comes to squishies, but this is probably going to be another one of my favorites(＾▽＾) This squishy was also very soft and slow-rising. Plus, this one was on sale as well, so instead of paying $10.50 I only paid $8.50!

Both the squishies and the squeeze toy were high quality and came with their original packaging and tags! The squishies had no defects and were very squishy, plus the Hello Kitty cake was very realistic and slow-rising( ´ ▽ ` )

Shipping:♥♥♥♥♥

The total cost for shipping was $3, which I think was INSANELY cheap! All my items were packed carefully, and arrived within one week~

The cost of the combined items was $29 plus $3 shipping, which came to a total of $32. Two of the three items I purchased were on sale, so in total I saved $6.50! Honestly if the items weren't on sale I'm not sure if I would have bought them, considering that the sale prices for these items were equal to similar store's regular prices

Overall, I would give Kawaii-Land and their squishies five stars! The items I received were packaged nicely with no defects, had their original tags, and were shipped for only $3. Plus, Kawaii-land has some squishies and kawaii goods that I haven't seen anywhere esle, like the Funassyi squeeze toy and Pinyattsu squishy, which were both on sale! I would recommend Kawaii-Land for those of you who enjoy cheap shipping and want a large variety of kawaii items in one place. I was extremely happy with the squishies I received and will be sure to shop at Kawaii-Land again!
