Foodesu Sampler! Review

(use the code "peachbooty' for 10% off your order!)

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share you you this absolutely adorable Japanese candy sampler package from Foodesuboxco
Foodesu is a monthly Japanese candy box store that sells Japanese candy boxes and samplers. Boxes are sold in three sizes: Foodesu Box, the largest candy box that costs $20, Starter Box, which is the middle size costing $7, and Sampler, the smallest size that contains mostly small snacks, but occasionally will come with a couple full sized snacks (which is what I bought) and it's only $4!
My sampler package arrived within about one week of ordering, and came with cute sparkly pizza and food stickers on it( ´ ∀ ` ) (FYI-if anyone doesn't already know, stickers are the way to my heart)
S..so pink...so kawaii....so delicious 【°∀°】 I was so happy when I opened this because all I see is PINK (which is my favorite color!)
The package contained more fancy/larger snacks than I originally expected, which was definitely a plus! Also I received a sweet thank you note for ordering ♡

Doraemon Pancake
(inside/outside wrapper)
Okay, I don't think this is actually a pancake but it looks and tastes and feels like one. It had a spongy, pancake-like texture and smelled reeaaallly good. It reminds me of a Doraemon squishy actually >w>
Inside is what I believed to be red bean paste! i've never tried red bean before, but it looks like it. If it is, I can now say I have eated red bean paste Ò ‸ Ó I have to say, I think this was my favorite snack in the package and I loved it so much. I want to eat about ten thousand more of these xD

Hello Kitty Pocky
(Stickers? Pink? and hello kitty?!? I think Foodesu secretly knows exactly what I love)
Something I always hope to come across in stores (and never do) is Hello Kitty pocky, so receiving this in the sampler was A-mazing~
The box came with a little Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel, and while I can't read it, it appears that they may be havint marital promblems. Until Dear Daniel presented Hello Kitty with some cake. because cake solves everything
The pocky was pink and had a delicious strawberry flavor. Also, the wrapper had little Hello Kitty print all over it ;w;
Animal crackers

The next thing I received was a baggie of little animal crackers!
Each cracker tasted light and buttery, and was shaped like an animal with the animal's name printed on it (although I've never seen a peafowl shaped quite like that)
I really loved these also!

Mini snacks
Last but not least, I received a mini bag with a bunch of tiny candies! The bag had little pink and red hearts all over it (●♡∀♡)
I was so excited to see that I got Botan rice candies!! These are some of my favorite chery candy out there, because they have a secondary edible rice paper wrapper, and they always come with a sticker!
(sticker + edible wrapper)
I love these so much, but because eah box only has like 6 candies, I eat them way too fast and they are gone in seconds (´д`)
The other candies I in the bag were Hello kitty smarties(kind of), three flower candies, a guava candy, and a strawberry Milkita~

☆~Ratings~☆

I give this package a high quality rating because I got more than expected, something Hello Kitty, and very yummy candies! Also the pinkness of it all made me cry tears of joy ;u;

Shipping was only $6.75, and it came quickly~
Cost:♥♥♥♥♥
The Sampler was only $4, plsu shipping made it a total of $6.75! That was seriosuly affordable

Overall I cannot describe how happy I was with this sampler! I got a Doraemon pancake filled with red bean paste(which is way cool), Hello Kitty pocky, animal crackers, rice candy, and some other minis. It was like only the best snacks were chosen for this sampler (´∀`)♡ I would highly recommend this snack sampler to anyone who wants a small amount of Japanese goodies, or maybe doesn't want to pay for a regular-sized box~
**bonus: I actually ordered the large box as well, and it should be arriving soon!  I was so happy with the sampler I just may order it next time I order a large box, too xD

Gudetama squishies! from Silly Squishies store Review

Hello everybooty! Today I'm going to share with you two Gudetama squishies I bought from Silly Squishies~! This is my first ever squishy purchase so i'm very excited!(^▽^)

Silly Squishies is a kawaii shop that specializes in selling squishies, including rare and hard to find ones from brands like I-Bloom and Aoyama. The two squishies that I bought were part of the Gudetama Sweets series:

The entire set included four squishies: pancake gudetama, tofu gudetama, crepe gudetama, and cheesecake gudetama. I decided to buy the tofu and the cheesecake ones first, but I plan on grabbing the other two very soon!

The squishies came in a cute pink ans blue package with Silly Squishies's print on it! I thought it was really cool that they have their own package design >u> Also the shipping was super fast, It only took like two days to get here!
ta daaaaaa~! Both squishies are official, and came in their original plastic wrapping and tags. (also omg, they even sent me candy)
(they were super good, especially the red ones :D THANK YOU)

-Squishies inside the wrapper-
-squishies out of the wrapper- (yes, the urge to open them was too strong. I regret nothing)
These squishies are definitely in the top 10 cutest squishies I have seen so far, just look at their little faces(´∀`)♡

here are the Sanrio stamps
Now that I'm looking more carefully, I see that these were originally released in 2013. I didn't even know Gudetama has been around that long >3> WHERE HAVE I BEEN

even the little wrapper is adorable! too cute to remove ;w;

*squish*

*squish*
I would say these squishies are decently squishy (compared to any that I've seen before). They aren't slow rising but they squish nicely...if that makes sense. The paint stays wrinkled for a bit even after the squishy has poofed back up, but after a minute or so it seems to smooth out.
Here they are being squished: (crinkle warning for the last two)

they're just...so fun to squish (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

☆~Ratings~☆

quality:♥♥♥♥♥
Both squishies were authentic Sanrio squishies and very high quality

shipping:♥♥♥♥♥
shipping was VERY fast (these arrived in less than two days omg) and only cost $3.99 to ship!

cost: ♥♥♥♥♥
Each squishy was $9.99, which is a really good price for these, considering I have never seen them sold for this low. Plus tax ($1.80) and shipping, the order total came to $25.77. Nice!

Overall:♥♥♥♥♥
Overall I was very happy with these squishies and I am soooo glad that I decided to get them! The cost was reasonable, especially for official squishies, and shipping was cheap and one of the fastest I've ever seen. I will definitely be going back to order the other two Gudetamas in the set!

Don't forget to check out Silly Squishies and their adorable squishies! You can order the tofu and cheesecake Gudetamas here

Hey Chickadee/MILKBBI pouch and charm review

Hello everyone! Today I will be reviewing two products I bought from Hey Chickadee~
Hey Chickadee is an online shop with tons of cute jewelry, plushies, phone accessories, and more! It's also home to the famous Pusheen, the most adorable, chubby  cat on the internet (^・ω・^ ) Hey Chickadee also sells artwork from many other artists, which gives the shop such a cute and unique variety of products!

The two items I ordered were a cell phone makeup/pencil pouch, and a soda girl metal charm-both designed by artist MILKBBI !

The package arrived in less than a week, which is always a plus (*´▽`*)

The pouch and charm came individually wrapped in a thin layer of plastic (I took them out because the glare made it too hard to see) along with a cute little business card

The envelope also included a shipping/order receipt, which was also a giant sticker
(ノ≧∀≦)ノ ONE FOR THE SCRAP BOOK (not really...well, maybe)

MILKBBI cell phone pouch
This pencil/cosmetic pouch is all I could ever want in a pouch:
-looks like a cell phone
-cute graphics
-PINK
-lots of room
-shiny
I remember seeing this pouch on tumblr but I couldn't find a link to it or who it was made by ;o; So when I finally found this on Hey Chickadee I was overjoyed(´∀`)♡
The pouch has a pink zipper running down the center of its back, and has a sturdy lining inside. At first I thought "hmm, this pouch looks kind of flat. I wonder how much it can actually hold"
so...
I stuffed it with pencils to see how much it could hold! Let's see how many fit inside the pouch
9 mechanical pencils/pens, 17 regular wood pencils, a led refill and an eraser!! (*゚ロ゚) WAY MORE THAN I EXPECTED

or..
1 eyeliner, 1 mascara, 2 lip gloss, 1 perfume bar, and my powder compact! Now I can't decide whether or not to use it for makeup or art supplies (○□○)

MILKBBI metal charm
I love this charm so much! It has a shiny/glossy front, and on the back is regular metal
This seems to be a very strong charm, which means I can feel good about hanging it on the pouch or on my backpack without worrying about it breaking
They go perfectly together ♥

quality:♥♥♥
Both the pouch and the charm were sturdy and very high-quality. What I love most about them is the attention to small details, making very unique and adorable!

customer service/communication:♥♥♥♥♥
Since I have bought from Hey Chickadee before, I didn't have any questions or concerns.

cost:♥♥♥♥♥
The pouch cost $15, and the charm was $10.80. The charm was a little more expensive than expected, but was well worth it, Order total came to $29.36(including shipping)
 shipping:♥♥♥♥♥
I paid $3.56 for shipping, which is very low! The package arrived at my house within one week after purchase
overall:♥♥♥♥♥
I always fall in love with whatever I buy from Hey Chickadee, but these two items are my favorites! Reasonable pricing, fast shipping, sturdy items, and cute designing-I have no complaints! I was very satisfied with this buy and I will continue to spend all my money buy from them!
If you are interested in grabbing the pouch and charm yourself, you can find them here:
(they also come in different colors!)

My First Japan Crate ! (August crate) review

Hey everybody! Today I will be writing about my experience with Japan Crate!
To start off, Japan Crate is a monthly Japanese candy/snack subscription service where you can order boxes of Japanese candy-HOW AWESOME IS THAT

My Japan Crate journey started when I saw their booth at Anime Expo 2015 in Los Angeles. My boyfriend and I both subscribed, and as a treat, got a free bag of green tea Kit Kats! We also got to grab candy out of a box with a giant pair of chopsticks (sadly I have no photos of that)

When subscribing to Japan Crate, you have a choice of three different crate sizes: Mini, Original, or Premium, and each crate is shipped for free~
I decided to go with the Premium crate, aka the largest for, because life is too short to skimp out on Japanese candy.

Look at that
That's like 3 pounds of sugary heaven right there
M A R V E L O U S

The crate came with a little guidebook, which gave a detailed description of each candy, plus their trip to AX 2015! the drawings are so cute (´∀`)♡

The first item I'll be sharing is Japanese BBQ Scones
Nothing about them appear to be scones. More like BBQ Cheetos, only 50x better! These babies were definitely my favorite out of the crate. Plus just look at these guys, you got two cats greeting you as you eat these
It's BBQ chip lovin' kitty and his oddly disturbing yet handsome brother who has apparently reached cat puberty first
(They're on the back too ΦзΦ)

Pokemon sticker puzzle with gum
I was REEAALLY hoping to get something Pokemon, so this was pretty dang awesome. (Plus the puzzle included a cheat sheet so puzzle-impaired people like me won't screw up)

One of the more interesting snacks I received were pretzel-type sticks called Pretz
These cracker sticks were Soy Sauce flavored, and quite powerful! At first, I got a strong soy sauce taste, but after I really began chewing them I got a buttery biscuit taste, which really became addicting (≧ε≦)

Definitely the silliest candy I got was the Crayon Shin-Chan candy
When you press down on the top of the box, the little hidden tab is revealed to make his pants fall down (≧∇≦)
(I originally forgot that this was hard candy, and nearly broke my jaw biting it)
Not only was this candy really fun to eat, it was ramune flavored! My favorite~

"Wow, Such Banana?!"
I'm laughing because this is actually the name of the candy (๑→‿ฺ←๑) It sounds like a candy Doge would have made
Banana flavored coating with marshmallow and chocolate inside-yum!

Puzzle & Dragons x Bikkuriman Wafer
I have no clue what Puzzle & Dragons is, but the little chocolate wafer was very good (´∀`)♡ It's hard to go wrong with wafer candies

Next is Mario Kart Gum!
This gum came in a long strip of individually wrapped pieces, each with a different character on it. The gum itself was very soft and kind of sour, which is common for many Japanese gums. I was also happy to see Rosalina was included!

Next up is the mysterious Chocolate Pucca crackers
I say "mysterious" because I honestly don't know what these little guys are supposed to be. Ghosts? Amoebas? Sea critters? who knows. They kind of look like goldfish crackers, only filled with chocolate!
(' 3 ' 3)3
I did like the fact that they came with their own little scenery
Well, I certainly underestimated these guys-they aren't just blobs, they're archeologists or adventurers, exploring the great pyramids!
too bad I ate them all before they could discover the lost tombs
 Crackling Cotton
An interesting name for an even more interesting candy, this one was definitely on the extreme end of what I received. It was basically a piece of purple cotton candy with pop rocks inside, and VERY sour. I ate it, but I have a feeling my insides were neon purple afterwards
Creamy Melon Soda
This soda tasted exactly like melon, and was very refreshing! I would definitely buy it again if I find it (◍•ᴗ•◍)<3
 Soda Mixing jelly Beans
Each jellybean tasted amazing on its own, but mixing them together is even more fun >w<
There's even a little guide on the back that lists what kind of flavors you get when mixing certain ones~
Next is Shuwa Shuwa Soda Candy
(I see soda flavor was a big theme this month) These hard candies came in three flavors: grape soda, orange soda, and cola. Plus, each one had a fizzy, soda flavored center ≧∇≦ a little sour, but very fun to eat!
And, last but not least, a Chocoroom DIY kit!
The kit came with 8 different mushroom molds, Meiji stems, and strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate icing!
Thankfully the guide book gives instructions on how to make these, because the box was all in Japanese ι(´Д`ι)
Step 1: soaking the closed icing tubes in warm water to make the icing squeezable
Step 2: squeezing and layering the icing in the molds however you want
Step 3: putting the stems into the icing molds
Step 4: placing the mushrooms in the freezer for a bit
and....
 TA DAAAAA~!
not the most beautiful mushrooms in the world, but they tasted great! This was also my first successful attempt at a candy DIY kit ;W;

~Ratings~☆

quality:♥♥♥♥♥
Box came with 13 Japanese snacks/candies, including a drink and DIT kit! Nothing was opened or broken. Plus, the box came with a guide book with cute illustrations and information on each snack!

customer service:♥♥♥♥♥
There was a bit of confusion at first when I wanted to upgrade my mini box to the premium one, but Japan Crate's staff was very helpful and polite. Plus, I ended up receiving the mini crate for free! (^▽^)

  cost:♥♥♥♥
For the Premium crate I paid $32, whichis no worse than the majority of Japanese candy services. For the fun you get out of it it's reasonable!
  shipping:♥♥♥♥♥
Free shipping in a sturdy box!
 overall:♥♥♥♥♥
Japan Crate provided me with a full box of fun and curiosity! I can see a lot of care and effort goes into making these boxes and choosing just the right candy each month. I would highly recommend Japan Crate if you want a crazy yet amazing Japanese candy experience each month. This service is also perfect access to those who don't have anywhere to buy Japanese candy from, or want to try something other than just the most mainstream candies. I will definitely be ordering more crates in the future!

If you are interested in ordering from Japan Crate, check out their website here! Also, be sure to follow/check them out them on any of these social networking sites:
