Japan Crate September review!

Hello everybody! Today I want to share with you my September crate from Japan Crate! (I know it's already halfway through September but I hadn't had a chance to post this yet)

For those of you who haven't read my August Japan Crate review, Japan Crate is a monthly Japanese candy subscription that delivers a box (comes in three sizes) of Japanese candy to your door every month! Just like last month, I decided to order the largest sized crate, or the "premuim crate."

My crate arrived within about two days of being shipped out, which is very fast! Japan crate always ships their candy in a bright red box, so you always know exactly when it arrives~

The candy comes tightly packed, along with a guide telling you the names and what to expect from the candies( ´ ▽ ` )
(not totally sure how they shove all of this into the box so nicely)

 beautiful, ain't it?
Here is everything that came in my crate! Japan crate always promises at least one drink, one DIY kit, and a bonus item in each premium crate~
Calbee Potato Chips (seaweed+salt)
The snack that I pulled out were these Calbee seawees and salt flavored potato chips!(I always start with chips because I plan on eating those first) These chips tasted rather stongly of potato and seaweed, and were quite salty. I really loved these chips and would definitely buy them again if I find some in stores! These were porbably one of my favorite snacks I received

Meiji Fran chocolate cream
This one was basically pocky, only with a triple coating of extra melty and fluffy chocolate( ̄▽ ̄) The chocolate was also very sweet, making for an extra sweet and rich candy. (it also goes very well with coffee!)

Full Gurt
 Full...gurt...
I'm guessing this one was a shortened version of "full of yogurt"
These candies came in two flavors: blueberry and mango. They were crunchy and flakey, and tasted like there was a little something else in the center, but I couldn't exactly tell what. It did taste like yogurt and a hint of either mango or blueberry, but honestly these weren't my favorites. They had kind of a health snack or vitamin candy feel to them

Konpeito
KONPEITOOOOO!! Now that's a candy you can always count on to be addictively delicious.

These little candies are tiny and very crunchy, and for some reason crunching them in your mouth just feels really good. Many times, Konpeito candy has no flavor at all, but these had maybe a hint of flavor depending on their color. Plus, the packaging is always cute (❁´▽`❁)
*bonus: These were the candies that the Soot Sprites were eating in Spirited Aaway

Nata de coco Grape Gummy
(That little white gummy with the face is making me uncomfortable) These grape candies came in a very small and resealable bag, featuring a creepy white gummy creature to greet you
The candies were gummies, and had a light layer of sugar covering them. Sadly when I tried them, they weren't very....appetizing >_> They felt slimy and tasted, again, like vitamin candy (like those evil grape "candies" your mom or doctor would give to you as a kid to make you think it was candy and not medicine) Not my fave

Lychee Ramune
The next item in the box was a Lychee flavored Ramune! I've never tried lychee before, but this soda had a light berry taste. It was very good, like pretty much ALL Ramunes(︶▽︶) I also liked the little happy face lychee on it

Glug Glug Want Chocolate
The next candy I received was actually called "glug glug want chocolate," which I thought was funny (I had always assumed this candy was just called "aiyaki cookie" or something)
It also came unbroken (☆▽☆) I was surprised because these candies are so fragile
The taiyaki candies have a sort of wafer-y texture, and are very light and flaky. Inside is a chocolate mousse, which is also airy and light *w* These are some of my favorite candies because they taste amazing and are shaped exactly like real taiyakis! This was my first time trying the chocolate one, and I loved it~

Lemon Squash
I was amazed to find that this monht, there was a second drink included! The name is rather deceiving, because it contains no squash at all (thank goodness) It's lemonade!
Lemon Squash is basically a giant version of those wax bottle candies you get on Halloween, only way better. It comes in a thin plastic bottle, and you have to cut the top off in order to drink it. I expected it to taste sour and/or sugary, but instead, it had a mild lemon taste! (゜▼゜*)

Kawarinbo
The next item I got was called "Kawarinbo," which is a 3 in 1 lollipop O3O
The lollipop was grape flavored on one side, and on the other it was apple flavor! Inside was a chalky, fizzy Ramune flavored candy with little ghosts on it
(another ghost on the other side)
PLUS, the "stick" is actually gum! So it was a lollipop with ramune center and a gum stick. that's the kind of stuff legends are made of .3.
I really enjoyed this candy because it was an adventure from start to finish! The lollipop part of it tasted really good and lasted a long time, plus the little ghosts were adorable >w>

Moko Moko Toilet 3
The next candy I got was a DIY, and a TOILET. it came in three different styles: China, France, Japan, and United States. I'm not sure which one I received yet
*I will post photos of the DIY once I have a chance to try it out*

Gudetama Gashapon
The last item I received was a Gudetama gashapon keychain! We actually received an email with a "hint" that Gudetama would be inside this crate, so i was super excited for it!
He looks so lazy xD There were different ones you could have gotten, and the one I received was the Gudetama on a plate. I really loved this little guy because he will last
(unlike all the candy I stuffed my face with)

~Ratings~☆

quality:♥
The quality of this month's Japan Crate was wonderful! Not only did I receive two drinks, but also a Gudetama keychain! Plus, the little toilet DIY actually came with a plastic toilet! I also love the fact that we get a guide to all the candies, some history on them, and instructions for the DIY. They definitely went all-out this month in finding cool things

shipping:
Shipping is always free, and the crate arrived within two days! Everything was packed nicely and nothing was damaged. The box also doubles as the shipping package, so no unneeded packaging was used~

cost:
The cost of the crate was $30, plus tax, came to $32. For everything I received in this crate, I felt it was worth it!

overall:
overall, I would give Japan Crate five stars! This crate was even better than last month's crate, and featured a bonus item, two drinks, and a fancy DIY kit! Shipping is free and fast, and nothing was damaged. I would recommend Japan Crate to anyone who wants a large variety of Japanese goodies not limited to just candy! It also offers many candies that you won't find in stores!
